Self-respect: Beware of the two-headed monster

sSelf-esteem is the driving force behind everything we do. When it comes down to it, so do we. And how often it happens is a problem. low self-esteem? Beware of the two headed monster.

In fact, in our mind we are exactly what we think about all day long – pretty much useless.

Depression, anxiety, mania – Expectations, disappointment, blame, guilt, shame, defeat.

Is it any wonder that those of us who suffer from mood or anxiety disorders often suffer from low self-esteem?

Low Self-Esteem: The Two-Headed Monster

Don’t doubt it, low self-esteem is a ferocious two-headed monster, each noggin constantly feeding off the other.

It’s not really that complicated…

A head protects the low self-esteem generated by our mental, emotional, and biological wiring. The second dumps a second – even larger – load in response.

And the vicious circle can be endless.

The only way to protect ourselves is to change the way we think, feel and behave. But remember, this only happens with insight and acceptance.

This is how we neutralize the two-headed monster.

Evaluate, Engage and Monitor

Like anything we deal with, the neutralization process is never easy, even when we have a well-rehearsed plan in our back pocket.

Look, here’s the bottom line. If that two-headed beast is not assessed, engaged and monitored, we will be facing one outrageous beating after another.

And make no mistake, low self-esteem will spread like wildfire in all aspects of our lives, making our moods and anxiety states an even more torturous living hell.

I mean, it’s hard enough to face the world when we’re being attacked by spine-breaking symptoms. But when the two-headed monster thumps its chest, the bottom comes out quickly—and the fall is hard.

Man is what he thinks about all day long.

True, don’t you think? Women too, by the way. And we end up walking around with our chin to our chest because we lack even an ounce of redemption value.

In fact, in our mind we are exactly what we think about all day long – pretty much useless.

“Yeah, the two-headed monster was eating me alive. not anymore. I will assess, engage and monitor daily.

If we can accept – now – that we are dangerously low in self-esteem, then we have every reason to be optimistic.

This is because it means we are open to change, so the possibilities become limitless.

What else do you know? We’ll feel great when our healing self-esteem begins to produce positive results.

and when our symptoms become noticeably less intense, we will make the transition from existing to truly living.

The two-headed demon has been neutralized.
