In case you missed the announcement – I’m back on the capsule wardrobe bandwagon, I’ve well and truly fallen in love over the last three years, but I’m ready to dust myself off and jump back in because the concept of a capsule wardrobe is just fab, isn’t it? A more conscious approach to hoarding, with an emphasis on making the most of what you already have and making it work together, and really getting to grips with your style therefore making morning prep an absolute breeze . Sign me up.

this time i don’t aim Number Number the items, just for a general streamline and getting back into the rhythm of putting my seasonal clothes together so it’s easy to find what I need and I can visually see what I’m working with. basically going back to the basics that I outlined my book*, and one of those ideas is to do an audit at the end of the season and see if there are any holes that need to be filled. If there are, write them down somewhere you can refer back to them and check-in again with the list next year. Still feel the same way about what you wrote? Great, maybe it’s time to think about adding them to your wardrobe. Don’t feel hooked? ExcellentIt just means that you didn’t waste your money and buy clothes that you won’t even feel like in about 12 months. it’s a convenient exercise, So today I thought I’d share what I’m putting on my wishlist to look back on next summer…

long linen wrap skirt

Now I know exactly what I’m looking for here – i’ll know it when i see it – but I haven’t been able to find it yet, so if you think you know of something that would meet the criteria send it to me! I’m looking for a midi/maxi length, preferably linen, wrap skirt – something straight without flare, and it’s getting pretty hard to find. I think this Sir Me Side-Split Midi Skirt* is the closest I’ve found, but something with a simple tie around the waist would be great. I love the idea of a classic skirt with a black T-shirt or tank for summer.

black halterneck dress

You know me, I’m not a costume person. But, this summer I found myself reaching for ARKET Shirded Sundress* a fair amount. It’s just something that’s easy to wear, especially on days when it’s full steaming hot and it’s a commute from home to work, but I can dress it up when needed. So it got me thinking that it might be time to add another everyday summer dress to the fold. I was searching online to find a link to another bass range I have the dress and I came across Besarnage Ligo Silk-Jersey Dress* And I was so tempted. I’m not in the market for halter necks essentialBut just a light and airy strapless black dress.

black satin skirt

After my recent wardrobe detox (watch this TIC Toc), I am now officially without a skirt. I only had one skirt in my wardrobe and it didn’t fit anymore, so it was time to say goodbye. Although I’ve experimented with more midi styles in the past, I think I’m a little girl at heart, so I think it’s time to invest in a simple satin, black mini skirt. Nothing too flowing or loose, but nothing too fitted or tight either. I did some digging and reform benson skirt*Sounds like exactly what I’m looking for, so I’m putting it on the list for next year.

summer blouse

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from cleaning out my closet, it’s that I’m sorely lacking in the ‘tops’ department. I basically have shirts, tanks and t-shirts, but I’m very into blouse territory. Do you know ‘nice top and jeansCliché – I need some nice tops. It doesn’t seem as important for winter, but for my summer wardrobe I’m craving boheme goods the tie top that i saw Monikh, It looks like the perfect laid back look for summer that will work with every single trouser style I wear in the warmer months. Reformation Roomy Linen Top* There’s one that I’ve been coming back to all summer, too.

brown leather shoulder bag

Now it’s quite typical but I’ve fallen in love with it Celine Medium Romi Bag in Tan* , Isn’t she beautiful? size, looseness, color? Ur, perfection. I don’t really have any tan leather bags and this just felt like a gap that needed to be filled, especially in a wardrobe that’s basically wall-to-wall with neutrals. Now though I love this bag in particular, I’ve definitely got a few ex-loves Celine Which fits the bill and some other mid-range bags too. I’m basically looking for something in their hobo style, with off the shoulder tops and gold detailing, and in a tan brown leather. The search continues…
